Hosting Facility Specification
|
The Facility is "OnNet" and is connected directly to the Internet Backbone.
The provision of two diversely routed incoming mains feeds from the local utility. Each incoming supply is capable of supporting the entire load of the site. The provision of air conditioning to maintain a constant ambient temperature of 22 degrees Celsius +2%, with a relative humidity of 40 to 60%. Air conditioning is supplied with N+1 redundancy. The provision of fire detection through an early warning system and optical smoke detectors under floor and overhead. The provision of a two stage (Dry) sprinkler system for fire protection of all areas; and manual fire extinguishers. The provision of power continuity in the event of a complete mains failure for the entire site load for up to 60 minutes, depending on the configuration, until the generator assumes the load. These allow for a generator to accept the load of the site without any interruption of power. The provision of a generator back-up in case of a complete mains failure in a N+1 configuration. The fuel tank is capable of supporting the entire load of the site for a period of 2 days, with the ability to be replenished to allow indefinite power continuity. The AC power is provided to the cabinet from two separate, 100% redundant power busbars, fed via diverse routes from the Main Distribution Board. This Board is designed to ensure power continuity in case of failure or planned maintenance on a part of the A / B system. The provision of a secure environment with access control limited to authorised personnel. Security is manned as 24 hours, 7 days a week. All electrical and Air Conditioning alarms, Water detection, smoke detection, security breeches are reported to a central Building Monitoring System (BMS). This allows immediate treatment of alarms by personnel on site, Network Management Centres, and considerably improves maintenance efficiency by mean of statistics and early treatment of non-critical alarms. |
